Watercolor and Collage

A hands-on workshop to explore both watercolor and collage. Experimenting with the materials and techniques will result in colorful paintings that integrate collage elements, text, along with playful patterns and forms.
Materials provided, including collage media, but participants are encouraged to bring their own.
(Collage media can include colored paper, fabric remnants, magazine clippings, wallpaper scraps, vinyl lettering, photocopies, etc.)
** Please note, Refunds will be processed only if requested 72+ hours prior to scheduled workshop date/time. No refund will be given if requested less than seventy two (72) hours until scheduled workshop time for any reason. Only one ticket transfer will be allowed per person per workshop type, and will only occur if requested outside of the 72 hour mark of the registered workshop. About the Teaching Artist:
Kim Rae Taylor is a visual artist and educator based in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she serves as Associate Professor of Fine Art for the University of Cincinnati Clermont College. She received her MFA from the College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (DAAP) at the University of Cincinnati, and her BFA from The University of Texas at Austin. Additional studies include the University of Georgia in Cortona, Italy, and the Metáfora Center for Art Therapy Studies in Barcelona, Spain. She has been an artist in residence at Taipei Artist Village in Taiwan, Red Gate in Beijing, and Cill Rialaig in County Kerry, Ireland. Taylor has also worked as a graphic designer and illustrator, including work in cartoon animation. Her mixed media paintings and drawings explore a variety of themes informed by nature, language, and gender.
