Jill Brown

Quick witted street smart and well educated, Jill has an entrepreneurial spirit with a strong background in the arts. She is focused on providing developmental programs and assistance to artists through the Arts Warehouse incubator while being a catalyst for economic development and growth for the community and artists.

Jill joined the Delray Beach CRA/Arts Warehouse in June 2017. Previously, she was the Cultural Arts Manager for the Town of Leland in North Carolina, where she spearheaded the build and operations of an 18,000 sq. ft. multi-arts facility from the ground up. In Raleigh, she was the Director of the Sertoma Arts Center for the City, where she managed a multi-arts facility and careers for over 150 artists and employees while working with both State and National Arts leaders to help ensure arts investment nationally. In Durham, North Carolina she managed the Durham Arts Council community arts school increasing enrollments and revenue by 60% while managing a multi arts school and 100 + employees and teaching artists. Before moving south, she was a Professor in Arts Education at Bowling Green State University training emerging arts educators at the same time working in concert with the continuing education department and Ohio school districts to develop community arts programs throughout the state.

She earned a BFA in Art History from Ohio University, K-12 Arts Education Teaching credentials from Bowling Green State University, Masters in Education/Arts Education from the University of Toledo and post graduate work from The Ohio State University. Regardless of her credentials and experience, she comes from the ‘do whatever it takes to get the job done’ mentality resulting in seeing her break down pallets to setting up arts installations.

Grace Gdaniec

With a highly creative and artistic background, Grace has made sure that art has been a part of her life in many capacities. With formal training in Studio Art and Art History, she received her BA from Stetson University in Deland, Florida. She began her post undergraduate career involving art in her life as much as possible. She received her K-12 Teaching certification in 2012, and developed programs locally such as at the Delray Beach Greenmarket “Budding Artists” activity tent. She also created a children’s course “Messy Hands” which invited children to explore the fundamentals of visual art in a very hands-on approach. Her experience with adult courses span from art therapy group classes at an outpatient therapy office to step-by-step painting classes. She continues to teach at various venues and organizations around south Florida.

Outside of arts education, Grace has significant experience in arts administration in varying arenas. She first learned of her interest in the administrative side while working as the Gallery Assistant at the Hand Art Center in Deland, Florida. Additionally, Grace was the museum assistant at the Cornell Museum, and worked in Arts Education at two Florida Art Museums. Before joining the team at Arts Warehouse in October 2017, Grace was the Gallery Coordinator, and then Director of Programming of an arts facility where she curated & installed exhibitions, planned special events, worked with visual artists in residence, developed workshops & classes, and led children’s tours and activities. Grace is thrilled to bring her thorough arts experience and passion for the arts community to Arts Warehouse and Delray Beach.

Lui Acosta

Lui graduated in 2016 with a Bachelors of Fine Art from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. He specialized in sculpture and is now experimenting in video and digital arts combined with two dimensional forms. Lui is originally from Pompano Beach currently residing in Boca Raton and is actively engaged in the arts communities throughout South Florida. Lui started as a volunteer at the Arts Warehouse and is now the Reception | Gallery Assistant fulfilling his dream of working in an arts facility after years of retail hustle. He continues to believe and prove everyday that hard work, dedication and passion eventually pays off.
