Verónica Pasman (b.1974) is an Argentinian mixed media artist based in Miami whose work focuses on revealing her primitive energy, abandoning her humanity tied to reasoning. Her paintings (primarily acrylics, ink, and gold foil on paper and canvas) feature sparse, nature scribbles often overlapping color stains and expressive brush strokes. Nature and the translucent palette of the ocean is a recurring theme on her work. Her search wishes to express the dialogue between the real and the unconscious yet to be revealed.
She received her degree in Graphic Design in 1994 and after, her career meandered through different design fields. It started at the Packaging Bureau of Avalos and Bourse, and continued at the Art Department of Para Ti Magazine, Editorial Atlántida. She attended an internship at Grazia Magazine working for the largest publishing company in Milán, Italy, Mondadori Editore. Back in Buenos Aires, she joined FAC Image Bureau, and was responsible for the brand Paula Cahen D’Anvers for women and kids. Verónica also worked for several independent brands and collaborated with publishers such as Guadal, El Gato de Hojalata, Chicas x Chicas, Ediciones B, Albatros, Sudamericana, Grijalbo, Editorial Periplo, Ohlalá, Diario La Nación, and Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial. Verónica is still working in this field in Miami and Buenos Aires.
