Tropical Leaf Studies in Watercolor – Summer Edition

Join artist Jenny of Living Pattern for a multi-color Summer Edition of the reoccuring Tropical Leaves in Watercolor Workshop. Unlike the usual Tropical Leaves Workshop session, the Summer Edition explores tropical leaves in a multi-color palette.
Attendees will observe demos in watercolor paint and learn painting techniques to create tropical leaves of different shapes (Monstera, palms, ferns, etc) and put them into practice as you experiment with a few bright colors and on different types of paper.
This workshop will guide students step by step, including mixing the various tones, laying a composition, and creating the leaf designs on paper. Inspired by Jenny’s distinctive watercolor paintings of flora and plant life, Jenny is excited to share her technique and see what you can create! All materials are provided. This workshop is suitable for all levels and experience with watercolor paint.
About the Instructor:
Majoring in Illustration at Savannah College of Art & Design, I started my journey working as a textile designer for six years in Atlanta, GA. After lots of soul searching I jumped into a career of painting in 2013. I have been doing so full time since selling fine art, prints, and licensing my work.
The natural world is so beautiful and I hope my art is a reflection of that sentiment.
