Join exhibiting artist and exhibition curator, Tayina Deravile, for a talk discussing This Is. The End., currently on view at Arts Warehouse. The talk will include time to view the exhibition, a moderated discussion with the artist Khaulah Naima Nurrudin, and a Q & A.
This Is. The End. is a solo exhibition that presents a vigorous survey of Khaulah Naima Nuruddin’s work for the last decade. Ranging from painting, mixed-media works, sculptures, and installations, Nuruddin reflects on the weight we carry in our emotional and spiritual lives and how care, responsibility, and community shape who we were, who we are, and who we are becoming. This exhibition questions the relevance of the body/physical form in this realm right now and challenges the notion of self and the life cycles we pass through. She highlights creation as an ongoing process: anything can be undone, reimagined, and made again.
