Office Hours

Amy Broderick

November 3 – December 30, 2023

Arts Warehouse was pleased to host Office Hours, a solo exhibition of 18 works by Palm Beach County based artist, Amy S. Broderick. Broderick used forgotten photographs, discarded office supplies, found atlases, and related ephemera to make complex paper compositions. She cut and wove each page by hand to make elaborate layered structures and images. Her process marks time’s passing, as forgotten slivers of other people’s daily lives coalesce to tell new tales. The resulting work invited viewers to imagine a space where obsolescence and disconnection become the warp and weft of new territories.

This was the first exhibition of the artist’s work at Arts Warehouse in Delray Beach. Each work was selected as a representation of the various ways the artist used the materials. With the largest being just 14” x 11” in size, viewers got an intimate overview of the artist’s thorough body of work through this ongoing, intricate series.
