Desert Triangle Print Carpeta
July 6th – August 11th, 2018
From deep in the heart of the dry Southwest, 30 artists from Tucson, Albuquerque and El Paso surface in the “Desert Triangle Print Carpeta” exhibition. No cowboy art taints this portfolio — though these large prints were commissioned with an open theme (abstract work discouraged). Rather most of the colorful serigraphs, relief prints and lithograph enjoy more of a Mexican-American flavor, resonating better with Florida’s Spanish roots. Three of the serigraphs have been animated by an “augmented reality” app, and push the exhibition into the 21st century. Previously this exhibition was shown in the El Paso Museum of Art, and more recently at Mexic-Arte Museum in Austin, where one visitor commented on the variety, saying that “there was something for everyone” on the walls.
This was the first time these works were shown in the East coast of the US, and Florida. Check out more at their website here
