Calling all Artists! BYOW(ork)

Start your New ART Year with a new perspective and fresh set of eyes! Join us for an art critique that will help you rise and expand your creative talents to another level. Critiques allow us to work together in ways that challenge our other creative abilities as artists and commentators. We find that group discussion allows us to gain valuable insight into our own works and how they fit into broader social contexts.

This month’s Fresh Look Critique will be moderated by visual artist and gallery owner Brenda Zappitell owner of White Wall Contemporary.

Format

Varies according to style of each moderator. What doesn’t change is that this is a serious critique using professional techniques to help artist grow. This is not a bashing session. This is a place to learn. Each session will be done in a way that is not hurtful but rather positive and honest.

We meet for about two hours, in which artist show and discuss their work with the group. Sign up is on a first come first serve basis. Due to time/discussion, some work may not be discussed. Moderator will do the best they can to get through the work; nothing is guaranteed. We ask artists to come prepared with a springboard for discussion, like what they are looking to improve on with the help of the group, or what ideas they were trying to convey with their work.
