Workshop | Embroider and Embellish Clothing

Refresh clothing & denim items with an artistic twist. Using embroidery, beads, and patches, explore fiber art with help of designer Amanda Perna.
Join designer Amanda Perna as she guides you through adding artistic touches to your new and used denim and other clothing items. The workshop will explore:
- Hand embroidery
- Appliques
- Beading
Embellishments can be added to collars, cuffs, pockets, and backs. This is a great way to upcycle your favorite denim and clothing pieces for something new this season. The skills learned can also be applied to other articles of clothing, such as simple embroidery stitches and how to attach beads.
Students will need to bring their own denim or other clothing item, limited to one (1).

Amanda Perna is a fashion designer, illustrator, and creative behind the brands Neon Bohemian and House of Perna. Her custom designs showcase bold colors and patterns, and evoke a unique energy for those that wear them. Her expertise is also in the fine details of embellishments and also in jewelry making. Her studio is currently located at Arts Warehouse, studio 12.
