Workshop | Beginner Figure Drawing
July 16, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
$50About this event
Every artist’s ability to draw the human figure is based on the study of its anatomy and the analysis of its form. When you are able to draw as your eyes see, you can go farther and allow yourself certain creative freedoms!
This course will explore beginner artistic anatomy through observationally drawing a clothed model. Principles and elements of drawing such as negative/positive relationships, articulation of figure in space, proportion, and gestural drawing will be covered, as well as emphasis on light, shadow, and contour line techniques. The model will change poses as a warm up, and then end with a longer pose.
Regardless of your starting level, this class is tailored to beginners and paced to accommodate individual skill levels and styles of work. All materials will be provided, but students are welcome to bring their own materials based on what they work with.
All Materials provided, but students are encouraged to bring any medium they wish to draw with. There are 10 spots available and the deadline to register is July 14th at 6PM.
