Urban Sketching from Life

July 17 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Wednesday, July 17th, 5:30pm – 7:30pm (evening session)

Let’s head outside and get creative this summer! This workshop was designed with beginners in mind, and also experienced artists in need of a new perspective when approaching drawing/sketching from life and in a public indoor or outdoor setting. The best inspiration can come from the world around us. Learn how to find an interesting composition in a public space, and the tips for achieving a successful sketch period.

Please note! Attendees will be on foot for this workshop, meeting at Arts Warehouse then walking to a nearby outdoor space/park, coffee shop, etc. to draw!

What to bring: Students must bring their preferred sketchbook or drawing pad, and a size that they enjoy working in and don’t mind carrying. Drawing pencils are available to borrow if needed!

*Weather – if weather is poor, the workshop will take place indoors at AW moving around the building
