The Boiz capture the fleeting emotions that pass throughout the day. When seen in a large group, it feels as the The Boiz will engulf us with their personalities. With their familiarity comes an eeriness and friendliness at once, as if one were to start moving or speaking it wouldn’t be much of a surprise.

Tyler is the 31-year old owner and operator of 5150 Chocolate Co in Delray Beach. He began sculpting with chocolate that was messed up during production and unusable. He originally picked up a welder to fix and modify machinery in the factory, but it turned into a whole new art form.

The Boiz were mainly inspired by Tyler simply wanting to turn his drawings into 3D figures. Each Boi is a direct reflection of how the artist was feeling the day it was made. Some days have been happier than others, but even on the bad days creating the Boiz has helped him immensely. The negative and sometimes scary thoughts were put into a new goofy figure. The scariest things to him are always what can’t be seen, so to personify some of his emotions and be able to stare them in the face makes them not so scary.

These Boiz are a constant reminder to not take life too seriously, to never lose your inner child, but just wanted to make some people laugh.
