Join artist Gregory Dirr to unlock the fun of printmaking using everyday items!
This session is held on Saturday, August 17th, 1 – 4pm
Discover innovative techniques that transform ordinary materials into extraordinary prints, making printmaking accessible and exciting for everyone.
Enjoy a printmaking session that demystifies traditional methods, offering a fresh perspective on this tactile art form.
Attendees will leave with several different prints. This workshop is a great way to experiment with printmaking. No experience necessary! All materials are provided.
Supplies to be used:
Acrylic paints
Assorted brushes and foam brushes
Variety of paper
Found objects, craft supplies, natural materials
Scissors
Palette Knives
Pens, Pencils
The Arts Warehouse Happy Hour Bar will be available for beverage purchases!
About the Instructor:
Gregory Dirr (b. 1986, Miami FL) is a visual artist living in South Florida. His works have been shown in exhibitions in Florida and abroad. His most involved body of work, The Big Book, has been exhibited since 2008 including the most recent show in 2023. He was awarded the Silver Key for Portfolio by The National Scholastic Art and Writing Alliance in 2004 and received his BFA at Ringling College of Art and Design in 2008. While there, he produced many significant pieces winning the Best of Core and Best of Fine Arts awards. He was artist in residence at Main Street Arts in Clifton Springs, NY [2019] and at Bailey Contemporary Arts Center in Pompano Beach, FL [2023]. His work Flora has been chosen for display at The US Embassy in Hong Kong in 2023.
