This format creates space for both individual feedback and group learning. You’ll also have the chance to print a selection of your photos on-site with my mini-printer! You’ll leave with tangible 4×6 prints that you can take home\, share\, or keep as a reminder of your progress. \nThis workshop is designed to meet you where you are. Attendees will walk away with a solid grasp of how to use their camera and a sense of excitement to keep practicing. You will find fresh inspiration\, structured practice\, and the chance to learn in community. Because the workshop rotates monthly\, returning students are welcome to join again and continue building their skills in a supportive\, creative environment. \nCome ready to learn\, practice\, and see the world a little differently through your lens. \nInstructor Information:\nAndrea Sarcos\nAndrea is a freelance photographer\, educator and interdisciplinary artist. SUMMARY:A Dream of Elsewhere | Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:A Dream of Elsewhere; Notes on a Life Shaped by Illness\n\n\nDrawing on her experiences\, Dana Donaty confronts women’s health\, care\, and belonging through painting\, fiber sculpture\, and installation.\nOn View December 4th\, 2026 until February 27th\, 2027\n\n\nOpening Reception: Friday\, December 4th\, 2026\, 6-9pm RSVP HERE\nArtist Talk: Saturday\, January 16th\, 2027\, at 2pm [Dual Talk with Diane Arrieta] RSVP HERE\nCurated by Kelcie McQuaid \n\n\nA Dream of Elsewhere: Notes on a Life Shaped by Illness brings together painting and fiber sculptures alongside a waiting room installation to consider what it means to inhabit a body altered by illness and how that fractures one’s sense of belonging in the world. Drawing on her own experiences\, Donaty connects the personal to broader questions of women’s health and medicine\, care\, and healing. Behind a wall\, a waiting room installation recalls the hours Donaty spends in medical care\, introducing tension between the experience of being unwell and the studio’s creative life\, where illness is transmuted. Female figures\, lush landscapes\, medicinal plants\, and anatomical imagery intertwine\, bringing the natural world into conversation with the medical one. \n\nIllness follows her into the studio\, but there the balance of power shifts: no longer simply the subject of examination\, she becomes the one who observes\, interprets\, and creates. Across the exhibition\, making becomes a means of reclaiming authority over the body’s story—not by resolving its uncertainty\, but by giving form to experiences that clinical accounts cannot fully hold. \n  \nAbout the artist\nDana Donaty (b. 1966\, Columbus\, Ohio) is a Colombian-American artist based in South Florida. She holds a BFA from Moore College of Art & Design and an MFA from the School of Visual Arts. Her practice spans fiber\, painting\, sculpture\, and installation\, considering what it means to inhabit a body shaped by illness within the broader\ncontext of women’s health\, medicine\, and care. Donaty has received emergency grants from the Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Foundation\, the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation\, and CERF+; a Full Fellowship from the Vermont Studio Center; and has been awarded residencies at ChaNorth\, The Arts Warehouse\, Bakehouse Art Complex\, South Florida Ford\, and Kriti Gallery. Her work is held in the permanent collections of the Coral Springs Museum of Art\, the Satell Family Foundation\, Cricket Taplin\, Palm Beach County Art in Public Places\, Boynton Beach Art in Public Places\, and West Palm Beach Art in Public Places. Selected solo exhibitions include Moore College of Art & Design\, Coral Springs Museum of Art\, The Arts Warehouse\, Cornell Museum of Art\, and South Florida Ford. Selected group exhibitions include The Invisible Dog Art Center\, Pen + Brush\, Hera Gallery\, The Camp Gallery\, the Mexican Consulate\, Flatiron Gallery\, Wavelength Space\, the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County\, and Art and Culture Center Hollywood.

SUMMARY:Feathered Reliquaries | Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Feathered Reliquaries\nSolo Exhibition by Diane Arrieta\nOpening Reception: Friday\, December 4th\, 2026\, 6-9pm RSVP HERE\nArtist Talk: Saturday\, January 16th\, 2027\, at 2pm RSVP HERE\n \nFeathered Reliquaries is a series of bird sculptures that function as small sculptural altars occupying the space between offering\, witness\, and warning. Drawing from the tradition of the religious reliquary\, these works treat the bird as a sacred container holding memory\, fragility\, and evidence. Across cultures\, birds have functioned as intermediaries—moving between earth and sky\, life and death\, the seen and the unseen. Here\, that symbolic lineage is pulled into the present moment. Birds also serve as indicator species\, bearing quiet testimony to ecological imbalance through declines we continue to overlook. These are not idealized figures\, but laboring bodies. Surfaces crack\, edges erode\, and each form holds the weight of environmental strain. The reliquary no longer safeguards the past; it holds what is vanishing in real time. Circular forms gather around them like halos\, suggesting sanctity while offering no protection. Suspended against the wall\, the birds hover in a state of tension\, caught between elevation and containment\, reverence and consequence. Feathered Reliquaries asks what it means to venerate a being while simultaneously contributing to its decline. The series asks us to reconsider what we choose to hold sacred. \n  \nAbout the artist | \nDiane Arrieta is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice bridges environmental science\, cultural memory\, and feminist materiality. Born in Clearfield\, Pennsylvania and raised in Oil City— former site of a Seneca Indian village and later\, the birthplace of the U.S. petroleum industry— her early life shaped a lasting awareness of the tension between ancestral land and industrial disruption. These layered histories continue to inform her work\, which explores the delicate relationships between nature\, resilience\, and transformation. Of Lenape ancestry (not an enrolled member of a federally recognized tribe) and Czechoslovakian agrarian European descent\, Arrieta draws from inherited perspectives on land stewardship and ecological interconnectedness. Her tactile installations often incorporate clay\, fiber\, and found materials\, merging traditional craft with contemporary sculptural forms. Arrieta holds a BFA in ceramic sculpture and an MSc in Wildlife Health from the University of Edinburgh. Her work examines the impact of human behavior on species decline and biodiversity loss\, while also advocating for the well-being of women and children—especially in the face of environmental crisis. Her work has been shown widely across the United States\, with recent solo and group exhibitions at Palm Beach State College\, the Cornell Museum\, NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale\, the Boca Raton Museum of Art\, the Museum of Fine Arts Tallahassee\, and the Art & Culture Center of Hollywood. She has received numerous accolades\, including the South Florida Cultural Consortium Fellowship [x2] \, the Hector Ubertalli Award for the Visual Arts and the Helen M Salzberg Visiting Artist Fellowship. She is the founding director of the International Humanities Project Curatorial Lab and has held leadership roles in academic exhibition programming and public art initiatives.

SUMMARY:Self-Portrait Painting with Acrylic Paint
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\nPlease don’t wait to register! Workshops that do not meet the minimum number of students 3 days prior to the session date will be canceled or rescheduled. Signing up early helps us ensure that the workshop can take place. Thank you! \nSelf-Portrait Painting with Acrylic Paint\nSaturday\, December 5 | 10:30am – 12:30pm \nJoin Resident Artist and instructor Ma Nong for a painting workshop where you will create a self portrait using acrylic paint! In this session\, you will learn how to format the portrait composition\, mix colors to understand color theory\, and create a unique portrait that captures expression! All levels welcome. \nAttendees must bring portrait image that they would like to paint. \nAll supplies included. Bring a smock if desired. \nInstructor Biography \nMa Nong \nAs a Taiwanese born in Korea\, I moved to South Florida in 2013. We encountered strangeness and difference at every turn\, but the sunlight\, sky\, and green nature of the subtropical culture always gave me warm inspiration. I have lived in South Florida for a decade now compressing and symbolizing this into color-rich cubes representing home\, the strangeness of being different from my native country\, and the process of adapting. Gradually\, I developed a series of portraits exploring the signifiers of human nature. Humanoid figures are portrayed as children’s dolls with exaggerated heads and smaller torsos and are centered and anchored as if trying to root themselves into the frame. They reflect child-like vulnerability where the feelings of dread\, loneliness\, and weakness to the familiar/unfamiliar world are present. Dimensional crystalline shapes simultaneously create and break the form; symbolizing complex units that both comprise and undermine identity. Color is bold and convincing\, resembling that of nationality\, yet it doesn’t reveal the true origin of the figure. In this process of seeing and feeling all my surrounding environments\, large puzzles are put together one by one\, and these experiences are fused and harmonized in one complete work. \n** Please note\, Refunds will be processed only if requested 72+ hours prior to scheduled workshop date/time. No refund will be given if requested less than seventy two (72) hours until scheduled workshop time for any reason. SUMMARY:Mimic the Masters Acrylic Painting
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\n*Please don’t wait to register! Workshops that do not meet the minimum number of students 3 days prior to the session date will be canceled or rescheduled. Signing up early helps us ensure that the workshop can take place. Thank you! \nMimic the Masters Acrylic Painting\nLed by Ma Nong \nJoin Resident Artist and instructor Ma Nong for this workshop where you’ll use acrylic paint on canvas to mimic the artwork of your favorite master artists! Whether you love portraits\, landscapes\, or florals\, this class offers a hands-on experience to explore the colors\, brush strokes\, marks\, and composition techniques that define the greats. \nFeel free to bring a picture you’d like to paint or borrow an inspiring art book from the front desk to find your perfect subject. \nAll materials are provided. SUMMARY:Alcohol Ink Floral Bouquets on Large Cardstock
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\nAlcohol Ink Floral Bouquets on Large Cardstock\nJoin us for an exciting alcohol ink workshop and discover the beauty of this fascinating vivid fluid art. These inks have the unique ability to dry rapidly and repeatedly revitalize while maintaining their vibrant color. \nIn this workshop students will learn basic and advanced techniques to manipulate and paint with this medium. Following a practice piece\, students will create their one-of-a kind floral bouquet on an 8 x 10 or larger cardstock. Demonstrations and individual attention will be provided by the artist to create a variety of flowers\, stems and leaves. All levels welcome and supplies provided. \nWhat is Alcohol Ink? \nAlcohol ink is a fluid art. The inks are dye-based and extremely vibrant due to heavy pigmentation. The inks glide freely on non-porous surfaces and are easily manipulated with various techniques such as blowing\, stamping or brushing. Another unique quality of alcohol ink is that the dried ink can be “revived” when coming into contact with fresh ink or blending solution\, allowing for further process of the design. Alcohol ink is a fun and unique medium\, allowing for creative freedom. \nAbout the teaching artist: \nDebra L. Snyder\, Fine Artist/Potter/Instructor \nI began my formal art education at Parsons School of Art & Design in New York and years later studied acrylic and watercolor painting with renowned artists at the Woodstock School of Art. My favorite theme for landscapes and seascapes was inspired while living at the Jersey Shore\, the Catskill Mountains and the coastal areas of New England. My first encounter with alcohol ink occurred ten years ago while traveling in Arizona. I was immediately intrigued by this fluid art\, the brilliance of the pigment and its versatility. Unlike acrylic or watercolor painting\, alcohol ink allows for a freedom of expression which I find unique and challenging. I have been practicing as an alcohol ink artist since then and continue to discover new techniques and applications with this exciting medium. \nClay art has also been one of my passions and has kept me captivated for twenty years now. I am continually improving and exploring throwing techniques and I find the rewards of throwing clay immeasurable. \nwww.artpartyexpress.com for more information. \n
