Landscape Monoprints with Gelli Plates

July 26 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

REGISTER HERE

This is a NEW workshop at AW, utilizing the Gelli plate printmaking method to create landscapes!

Artist instructor Neal Hanowitz will lead you through the process of laying out acrylic paint, drawing/carving into the paint, and printing onto paper to create unique monoprints (or, single print – each time with a different result!). There is opportunity for layering, colormixing, and experimentation! This is a very process based fun way of trying out the medium.

You will leave with a dozen or more colorful prints on paper. Recycled magazines and photos will be available to add collage elements to your prints and for image inspiration. Feel free to bring your favorite landscape photos to use as a reference. The final prints can be used individually or added to future projects.

Space is limited to 10 attendees, so reserve your spot early! All materials are provided.

See below for inspirational images of other artists creating landscapes with printmaking.
