January 25th & February 1st @ 11 am – 1 pm | $70
In this workshop series, we will demystify the process of writing an artist statement and work with you to craft your own.
In the first class, we will learn the fundamentals of an effective artist statement and brainstorm to write yours. In the second, we will workshop your draft in an intimate setting.
Class size limited to 8 participants to maximize hands-on work and discussion.
About the instructor:
Erica Ando is the founder of The Empowered Artist, a business & career coaching service and resource for artists. She has 20 years experience working with artists in nonprofits, museums and commercial galleries as a curator of exhibitions and public programs, grant writer, editor and project manager, and has been an art writer for national and international publications.
